The chemical manufacturing industry, which employs more than 5 million people worldwide, employs some 4.2 million people in the United States, according to a report from the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology.
It employs more people than any other industry, according the report, which also analyzed how chemicals were produced.
In addition to the chemical industry, there are more than 3,000 other manufacturing industries, including oil and gas, automotive, food processing, construction and industrial materials, among others.
In addition to being one of the world’s largest industries, the chemical manufacturing sector employs about 5 million Americans.
According to the report released Thursday, the chemicals industry employs more Americans than any of the following industries: agriculture, construction, manufacturing, natural gas, oil and chemical industries.
The chemical industry employs about 10 percent of the workforce.
In 2018, the average annual salary for a chemical engineer was $93,200.
According the report: In 2018 the average American’s income was $62,936, compared to the average European’s annual income of $67,600.
In 2018, more Americans were employed in manufacturing and chemical engineering than in the construction, natural resources, transportation, agriculture, and the defense industries.
In fact, more American workers were employed manufacturing chemical manufacturing equipment in 2018 than in any other manufacturing industry.
