The Indianapolis Colts are the NFL’s second-worst team this season and their 11-5 record ranks sixth in the league.
And while the Colts are one of the most disappointing franchises in recent memory, owner Jim Bob Cooter said he didn’t have the luxury of not caring.
“We were a football team, we were a business, we knew what we were doing and we knew how to win,” Cooter told reporters Tuesday, per the Indianapolis Star.
“So I think it’s the responsibility of our fans to know and not just cheer for the team.
That’s the way I’ve always felt.”
The Colts’ 11-4 record was their worst since 2010.
The team was the first team to lose a playoff game in Indianapolis in the NFL since 2008.
The Colts went 5-11 the last two seasons before winning their second Super Bowl title.
This year, they are 4-12.
